Walking on a cloud of contribution

When a time in the year approaches where we hear talk of holidays and giving thanks, reflection gets more space in our schedule than we typically award.

With this additional space things come into focus and allow us to realize what has been happening.

For me, one of the things I find lately is the gratitude I am receiving for the coaching I am providing to individuals

To get better throughout this year, I attempted to integrate the teachings from my PhD program at Antioch University. In addition I added lessons and nuggets of wisdom from Gina Gaudio-Graves, Henry Gold, Joel Block, and others. Some of these teachings and ideas are shown in previous blog posts, and some have gone directly to my coachees.

More recently I also started adding sessions above and beyond the targeted performance coaching, which actually help with managing and leading others, be it in project teams, executive teams, management groups, or any other situation where a group of people has to work together.

For this effort I mainly use a limited list of resources, like the teachings of John Kotter, especially his latest book “our iceberg is melting”, information from Jim Collins “Good to Great”, sections from Henry Cloud’s “Integrity”, and some other titles having to do with resonating relationships, globalization, and the new wave of green solutions.

As always when you add or change something in a system that has worked well in the past, there is a risk that the changes are not very well received or understood. I can report that I am lucky to have received much praise about the more integrative approach I now apply.

In a nutshell, I can say:

I am walking on the cloud of contribution,

enjoying the soulful sunshine of service

I like to say Thank You to everybody who allowed me to work, play, interact, and learn from. I will continue to try to teach people about their potential and in which ways they can best use and apply it to the benefit of their life as well as everybody they come in touch with.
