How to achieve success?

One of the mantras I have learned to live by is this:

You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to get great.

Part of this saying seems to indicate that everybody needs to become great in some way. As I said in a previous post about the TV shows American Idol, or American Inventor, or even the Bachelor.What it is really pointing towards, at least for me, is the action part. Getting started is asking us to take action.

In the past I have caught myself over and over being fascinated by something, wanting to do or achieve something or asking myself how others actually got to where they are? Finally I realized that I need to focus on what I am good at and take action. Naturally there is a risk to make mistakes. But then you look at the teachings of The Secret and the whole universe can open up with opportunity and energy.

In previous posts you have read my belief that values, trust, honesty and sincerity are very important when doing business, helping people, or just interacting with anybody. That keeps holding true. What the risk of action taking puts on the one side of the scale and tilting it towards failure and underachievement is easily overcome by the other side of the scale, the one that is a combination of achievement and forgiveness. I can honestly say that there were way more times when I tired to help, provide a service and possibly didn’t achieve everything that would have been possible, just to receive gratitude for trying, and a heartfelt thank you for spending time, effort, and energy.

Now you might say: “Well, that’s all good, but if I don’t know what to do, how do I know what action to take?”

Following the law of attraction, the answer is: “It doesn’t matter”. What you rather want to do than worry about the right action, the right preparation, the right tools, all the knowledge you feel you need to get started is this:

Gather all the positive energy you can. See, feel and behave like a positively charged magnet when you are getting ready to take action. You may not believe it if you never tried it, but the positive energy you represent will drive away many, if not all the mistakes and negative options, you might otherwise run into. You will be surprised how some things seem to come together magically. You, the positively charged magnet will attract the good things and those things that will help you to achieve the gals you set out when you decided to take action and get started.. Yes, smart work will still be required, but rather then looking at all the obstacles, nay-sayers, and possible hurdles, you will find frinds, helpers, and individuals who are drawn to you because of your energy. Pretty soon you are no longer starting, but you will be in the middle of massive action, success and the fun and joy that appear when positive energy combines.

So get started on your path to greatness. It’s not going to happen overnight, but when you start taking action with positive energy, you will succeed.
